AMA (American Academy) has its origin from AITMA (American Information Technology & Management Association dating back to the 1960s in the USA).
As a long-standing non-profit educational organization specialized in providing Business Management training for international enterprises, AITMA has cooperated with Cambridge Academy since 2006 to conduct a variety of researches and experiments on English training to international students in different cities such as Cambridge, London, Manchester, New York, and Las Vegas, using AITMA’s information technology and Cambridge Academy’s English teaching experience and skills.

In 2009, the Smart English Textbook Series were experimented successfully and estimated to be able to shorten up to 20% of foreign learners’ English learning time.
In February 2010, AMA came into existence with the mission to develop a world-wide English training system in which Vietnam is one of its first destinations (www.ama.edu.vn).
In July 2010, AMA signed a cooperation contract worth US$3 million with Cleverlearn HCM, a leading English training organization in Vietnam, to provide training materials and management procedures for the improvement of English teaching quality in its 9 branches including:
Courses officially developed in the new program include: Summer Fantasy, CleverKid (English for Kids), CleverTeen (English for Teens), GE (General English) and BE (Business English).
Making use of its academic strengths, AMA has pushed the system-wide application of the Smart English Textbook Series and continues delivering the two key academic English courses, i.e. IETLS and TOEFL iBT preparation.
